报告题目：Network Embedding Model: Methodology, Theory and Applications

报告摘要：Network data has attracted increasing research interests across various scientific communities. In this talk, we will talk about some recent development of network embedding model, including directed network and hypergraph network. Interestingly, network embedding model resembles latent factor model in classical statistics, which can be dated back to early 1900s. Along this line, we will develop some new modeling strategies in the same spirit of embedding unstructured network into well-structured vector space, to tackle various issues arising from these applications. The developed methods are supported by their asymptotic properties as well as a variety of real applications. If time permits, I will also briefly discuss about structural change point detection via embedding dynamic networks.

报告人简介：王军辉，香港中文大学统计学系教授，系主任。王军辉教授本科毕业于北京大学，于美国明尼苏达大学获得统计学博士学位。他的研究方向包括因果推断，网络建模，统计机器学习等。王军辉教授担任Journal of the American Statistical Association，Journal of Computational and Graphical Statistics，Annals of Applied Statistics，Statistica Sinica等期刊的副主编。他的研究成果广泛发表于JASA, Biometrika, JMLR和NeurIPS等统计及机器学习的顶级期刊和会议。
